The Stratos Racing School is a joint venture with Stratos Motorsports, one of Asia’s leading professional kart racing teams. With the aim of providing everyone with the opportunity to try their hand at karting and racing, the Stratos Racing School provides an accessible platform with experienced coaches and professionally prepared and safe vehicle in Malaysia.
Our championship-winning racing team provides a stepping stone for beginners to take their careers from the Racing School into professional motorsports. Stratos coaches and mechanics have extensive experience and knowledge to guide drivers of all ages and backgrounds to maximise their driving ability.

Our courses are conducted in our race-prepared karts. There are different categories of karts depending on the size, weight, height and other factors of the driver. The karts will be fitted with Rotax engines and all the necessity’s needed for a race kart.
Courses will be tailored based on your experience level and knowledge you have about karting. Therefore, if you have minimal karting experience prior to this course, we will ensure you get the basic training first and progressively move forward. If you are a more experienced driver, we will focus more on advanced techniques. No matter your background, we have a program for you!
1 DAY COURSE
- Age 13 and Above
- Maximum Height is About 195cm
- Maximum Weight is About 95kg
- 9.30AM to 5PM Approximately
- 5 Track Sessions
(Tracks include Sepang, Shah Alam and Elite Speedway) - On-board Video and Data Review in Between Sessions
- The Maximum Driver to Instructor Ratio Is 3:1
3 DAY COURSE
- Age 13 and Above
- Maximum Height is About 195cm

The racing school has taught me a lot of lessons starting from the basic till the advanced. I came to the racing school without any experience, I did not even know how to brake properly. Thankfully with the help of Stratos Racing School, I was able to move forward with proper coaching and data reviewing by James Russell. 2 years after my first session with Stratos Racing School I was able to become Asian champion!
I started my karting journey with Stratos Racing School back in January 2018. Having no experience at all, I had no idea what was to come. My coach at the time was James Russell and he taught me everything about kart driving from A-Z. Racing karts has also taught me to have a positive mind and to respect others among my peers. I am now driving for Stratos Motorsports. It has been a wonderful journey so far with many podium finishes and finally a win recently.
I’ve learned everything that I know now in racing because of the Stratos Racing School. In just a few days on one of their courses, I learned more than I ever did driving alone. These lessons and pieces of advice have stayed with me throughout my entire racing career, where I both race for Stratos Motorsports and factory teams in Europe.
